Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

 

Required Credentials:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work or a related field or current enrollment in an accredited college/university

  • Maintain RBT credential or meet requirements to sit for the exam at the earliest date the exam is available post hire

  • Driver’s License, reliable transportation and a clean driving record

  • Absence of any criminal history (per 10-year federal, state, and county background check)

  • Prior experience working with children with Autism using ABA is preferred

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, strong oral and written communication skills

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to children with developmental challenges such as Autism and other Developmental Disabilities

  • Implement in-home clinical programs for each children under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst

  • Typically this work is done in the child’s home.  Quite often, your schedule will include late afternoons and early evenings

  • Establish yourself as a positive, caring, and consistent person with the child and their family

  • Implement the designed programming for the child with precision

  • Provide current, accurate, and thorough data to the Behavior Analyst

  • Assist parents and caregivers in following the treatment plan to maximize the effect of direct therapy

  • Maintain your schedule. Reliability and punctuality demonstrates respect to the family

  • Implement feedback delivered during live supervision and from written evaluations

  • Satisfactorily pass treatment integrity checks and ongoing evaluations

  • Attend client and staff meetings and trainings

  • Collect and summarize behavioral data
